1. Where are you from, tell us a bit about your background.
I am from Warrenpoint but have been living in the Northwest for the past 13 years. My husband and I along with our two dogs Rosco and Cooper have recently moved back to the area to be closer to my fam-ily.
I have worked in hospitality for over 20 years, and have been fortunate to have worked in some of the most prestigious hotels around the country. I got my passion for the industry from my childhood as my family ran a Bed & Breakfast and Caravan Park in Warrenpoint.
2. What exactly does your position at Killeavy Castle Estate entail?
I manage the Front Office / Reception which involves taking the guests throughout their journey within the Estate, from reservation to check-in, to departure and all in between. It is a busy department, but no two days are the same and this keeps my job interesting.
3. What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I love welcoming our guests and going the extra mile to make sure their experience with us is a memorable one. The scenery around the estate as well is a bonus, the view from the hotel is breathtaking and never grows old to look at.
4. What do you love most about Killeavy Castle Estate?
I love the sense of family we have with our team; everyone works together to give the guest the best experience. I am very proud of the estate and how it has been developed, and excited to be part of the future plans.
5. What is an interesting fact about you?
Throughout my career, I have made a few famous people but meeting the Dali Lama when he stayed in Derry/Londonderry a few years ago was one that stands out the most.
