1. Where are you from and a bit about your background?
I was lucky enough to move around quite a bit due to my parent's careers. I’ve spent a lot of my adult life in New York, where I first joined the hospitality industry, first working at a beach resort in the Hamptons area, then completing my management training in Manhattan at Fitzpatrick Hotel Group. During this time, I also completed my International Hospitality degree, with Ulster University.
2. What exactly does your position at Killeavy entail?
My position at Front Office Supervisor includes a number of tasks, from assisting with the management of the reception and porter teams, including rotas and training. It’s also heavily focused on guest experience, ensuring our guests have a brilliant journey from the moment they step onto the property.
3. What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I love that my job allows me to talk to our guests so often and that each day brings something new or a new challenge.
4. What do you love most about Killeavy Castle Estate?
This is my first estate property, and I love driving up the driveway at the beginning of my shift. The natural beauty of the surroundings automatically puts me in a good mood, and get’s me ready to provide top-class customer service. Working as part of such a caring and supporting team also makes the job much easier.
5. What is an interesting fact about you?
Before studying for my degree in hospitality, I studied Film and Media in Edinburgh.
